Nubra Valley
Due to this place, Ladakh is also known as one of the highest motorable mountain passes. Owing to the clear blue skies contrasted with the barren landscape in a variety of sizes. One of the fabulous trekking destinations in Ladakh is Nubra Valley which is suitable for trekking with family. This valley is located in the northeast part of Diskit Village, between Saltoro and Karakoram Ranges.
It is surrounded by beautiful sights which one will look at in wonder. A trek up to Hunder Village in Nubra Valley will make you excited to get to see the rare Bactrian Camel. It is an abode of the rare species of the double-humped camel. The camping sites, as well as the tents, make a unique experience!!! It takes about 3- 4 days and the best time is during the mid-summer as the weather remains cool and pleasant.
6 Passes Trek
The 6 Passes Trek also known as Rumtse to Tso Moriri Lake starts from Rumtse and ends at the village Korzok by the shores of Tso Moriri Lake.
Owing to its name, this 106 km peculiar trek takes you across the 6 high altitude passes above 5000M above sea level and 3 lakes by name of Tso Kar, Startsapuk Tso, and Tso Moriri. The 6 Passes Trek shows you the full glory of the splendid beauty and pristine Changthang Valley with snow-capped peaks, awestruck highlands, river meanders, rich meadows, barren terrain, and landscapes like a rainbow. The best time to go for this trek is June to September.
Markha Valley Winter Trek
The alternative to the Chadar Trek is you get a wonderful opportunity to take a walk on the icy sheets by the frozen Markha river. One of the most fascinating treks of Ladakh, the Markha Valley Winter Trek takes you on a beautiful journey to the pretty Markha Valley.
Lamayuru Trek
This Trek starts from the Lamayuru monastery situated on a cliff. This circuit connects two of the most important religious sites of Ladakh. The oldest gompa or monastery of Ladakh, Lamayuru is surrounded by a landscape of the rough and rugged desert. Admiring the Tantric relics made from human bones, and observing the monks chanting in the painted prayer hall, its spiritually inclined atmosphere was created altogether. Overnight staying in tents, and then reaching Alchi, the ending point of the Trek. Alchi boasts of its world-famous wood carvings and bright, colored frescoes.
